KayNine Training, Oakworth

My Story

For as long as I can remember I’ve had dogs in my life. From Dachshunds to Deerhounds they’ve all had their own individual personalities, which is why I believe in a one to one approach to training.

My training journey officially began in 2021 when I came into ownership of my current dog, Kira.

Kira was unlike any dog I have had before, from a puppy I found her difficult to say the least, and I can’t really blame her given her start in life. I wanted to help Kira and understand her the best I could so I took it upon myself to learn some basics about dog communication and behaviours to see if I could help her become a more well rounded and happier dog - and it worked! The more training and learning I did, the more I enjoyed it. Training with Kira has really helped our bond and has helped Kira to trust again.

Following this, people would compliment me on Kira all the time and ask how I had come so far with her so I decided to help out with friends and family’s dogs at their request and after some promising results, I decided to continue to develop my training skills and gain qualifications, which I could then use to help other people. This is when KayNine Training was created and here I am now a graduate of the Victoria Stilwell Academy, but I am not stopping there! I will continue my own studies in order to be the best I can be and provide owners with training they can trust and that will help their dogs.
